The challenge is simple:
1. Choose a polyship.
2. Write a fic with a word count of exactly 100 words per character in that polyship.
3. Tag #PolySK8 and add your work to our AO3 collection!
❓ What does ‘100 words per character’ mean, exactly?
It just means that your total word count has to add up to the number of characters in your ship, multiplied by 100. You don’t have to dedicate 100 words to each character individually— it’s just the word count of the overall work.
For example, you could write a 300-word drabble about your OT3 eating dinner together!
❓ Does the word count have to be exact?
Yes! That’s the idea of the challenge. However, I understand word count can be different between different software, so if you wrote 500 words and AO3 says 501, I’m not going to remove your work from the collection or anything. This is just for fun!
❓ What if I want to write about less than three characters?
That’s fine too! If you want to write 100 words about a solo poly character, 200 words about a couple in an open relationship, you can. We welcome all types of ethical non-monogamy ❤️
