What’s a fandom bingo?

Basically: You sign up to receive a bingo card full of prompts. You make some things using those prompts. You check off the squares as you make things and try to earn a bingo across your board. And you celebrate your achievements!

You can find more info on Fanlore.

What’s the deal with THIS bingo?

‘Sweet & Spicy’ is meant to convey the idea that wholesome vibes and not-so-wholesome vibes can coexist in fandom, whether in separate works or combined into one. Prompts may have positive or negative connotations, but you’re free to use them however you’d like!

General FAQ

Is there an age requirement?

Our events are 18+ only, ****as some prompts are NSFW.

Is there a minimum requirement for works?

Nope! Whatever you consider a prompt fill is fine.

Is there a time limit?

There's a time limit for signups within any given event, and some events have a posting deadline. However, you’re free to use your card whenever you’d like— you just might not get whatever incentive there may be for completing an event in time.

When will I get my card?

I try to make cards every week or so, but I’m a team of one, so there may be some delays. I'll post updates on Tumblr as necessary.

When do I get a bingo?

That depends on the event! Please check the guidelines— if there are no specifics, a bingo is whatever you personally consider a bingo.

Is there a limit to how many cards I can ask for?

This also depends on the event— please check the guidelines!

What if I notice an error on my card or want to swap out a prompt?

Let me know! I try to double check everything, but sometimes I still make mistakes (typos, wrong prompt categories, straight up sending people the wrong card, etc). You’re free to swap out a maximum of two prompts.

Do I have to post on Tumblr or AO3?

Nope! Feel free to post anywhere. I’ll reblog Tumblr posts, and works on AO3 can go in the event's collection. As of right now, this event is no longer active on Twitter.

Can I use multiple prompts in one piece/use a very loose interpretation of a prompt/use a prompt fill for another event/etc?

Sure! Do whatever you’d like. It’s up to you how you want to use your prompts and fill your card.

Are there content restrictions?

Not really! The only hard restriction is no AI-generated works. Otherwise, I don’t care what kind of wild shit you create as long as you tag it appropriately. Original works are also welcome. Please use tags & content warnings as needed.

Can I post my works anonymously?

Yes! If the event requires a masterlist to get credit for a bingo, you can just specify which prompt(s) you posted an anonymous work for— no need to link to the work if you don’t want to.

Who are you?

I’m Ness! I’m in my 20s and my pronouns are they/he/she. I’m a fanfic writer— I used to be a single-fandom kinda person, but now there's a lot of them all of a sudden.

I started running these events because I feel very strongly about ‘wholesome’ and ‘problematic’ concepts coexisting in fanworks. Sometimes I have trouble finding spaces/events that are open to both without bashing or excluding either side, so I made my own.

(Of course they don’t both have to be everyone’s cup of tea; you can opt out of whatever sorts of prompts you don't want to work with. I’m not so much into dark fiction myself, but I’ll gladly cheer on the people creating it!)

You can find me @tellmewhatyouc on **Twitter** and **Tumblr.**
